A Visit from an Australia Guest i2013j
An Australian guest who helps to translate our homepage visited Kazenoko Hoikuen and Kazenoko Jidokan with her 4-year-old daughter. Her daughter goes to a hoikuen in Japan. (Her 2-year-old son went to the hoikuen today) She can speak Kansai dialect fluently, so got along with everyone quickly. They joined in the music class and the story-telling class at Kazenoko Hoikuen. They also ate lunch together. The mother was impressed that the children served their own meals by themselves! She was surprised that her daughter also served her meal by herself!
At Kazenoko Jidokan, the daughter played with the older girls in a hideaway house, and the mother read English picture books about Australian animals to the other children. It was a brief international exchange.
