Nature School (May)

We went to Tanba to plant sweet potato seedlings in summery weather. The staff explained the planting method, and while discussing the seedlings’ depth and direction, the children managed to plant 75 sweet potato seedlings. After that, we went for a walk around “Tanba no Ie” and picked a lot of mugworts. These mugworts were used to make sweets at Jidokan at a later date. When we discussed the afternoon activities, everyone unanimously decided to play in the river.
We all played actively by looking for crabs and climbing the river slopes, and came home after enjoying nature to its fullest.
Listening carefully to instruction on how to plant seedlings.
How deep should I dig?

We should clean the tools that we used.

Mugworts smell good♪

What kind of flower is this!?

Let’s go to the river☆

We found many crabs.

Even our shoulders got wet…!
