Nature School (October)

One clear autumn day, we went to Tanba to dig up the sweet potatoes we planted in spring. Most of the children listened to the staff’s explanation quietly and carefully dug in order not to damage them. When they dug up a big sweet potato, they happily showed us saying, “Look! I got this big one!” In the afternoon, we went to look for Japanese freshwater crabs, and enjoyed playing tag and hide and seek in the silver grass fields. Many guardians helped us and we all got home safely. Thank you very much for your cooperation.
Listening to the staff’s explanation.
Digging carefully with a shovel…

We managed to get this big sweet potato!

Which one shall I take home?

One more please!
Snacks made with homemade sweet potato are so good.
