◇Joining the Dietary Education Exhibition (2014)
The Third Higashiyodogawa Ward Dietary Education Exhibition was held for
the purpose of “Give it a Go! Enjoying Dietary Education Together!” at
Higashiyodogawa Ward Hall. Other than Kazenoko Hoikuen, related organizations
like Higashiyodogawa Ward Dietetic Association, Higashiyodogawa Ward Children
and Child-Raising Plaza, and Higashiyodogawa Ward Child-Raising Support
Center joined the event. At our center's study meeting, under the theme
of developing the ability to choose the right foods, we introduced the
risks of food additives and the dietary education we value in nurturing
a child’s body and soul, such as displaying photos of children making sweet
potato desserts and dried daikon with ingredients harvested from Tanba
no Ie. (Tanba no Ie is a house for outdoor experiences in Tanba that our
corporation owns.) There were many lively conversations between the parents
and the children, and everyone had a great time with their food coloring
books and playing with clay made from wheat flour.
