◇Joining the Dietary Education Stage Performance
15 female students from a food education activity group called "Iku
doru musume" from the department of Food and Nutrition, Beppu Junior
College came to our center on February 26th to perform for us. They arrived
in Osaka by ferry early in the morning and left in the evening from Osaka
port. They were so energetic even though they had such a busy schedule.
Children aged 2 to 5 from Kazenoko Hoikuen, Kazenoko Baby Home, Awaji Kodomoen
had so much fun watching their performance. They sang "Baikin Bye-bye
(Bye Bye Germs)", "Tearai Mambo (Hand Wash Mambo)", "Ichiju
Sansai no Uta (Soup and 3 Plates Song)" and "Odoru Ponpokorin"
and did Kamishibai storytelling with illustration boards. This food education
activity group performs 40 times a year and makes efforts to promote food
education. I hope this occation gives us the opportunity to develop a long
relationship with them.
