| The 1st Midosuji Tohoku Fukko Shien Bazaar was jointly held by Osaka Gas
and Risona Bank and sponsored by the Osaka Volunteer Association and Osaka
City Social Welfare Council on May 24th and 25th. Osaka Gas Main Office
and Risona Bank next door offered the use of the space in front of their
buildings, and various institutions and organizations sold products from
the affected areas alongside their own products, as well as exhibiting
photos of the affected areas and providing tourist information of the Tohoku
area. On day one, NHK and Kansai TV came to conduct interviews and introduce
our booth. We developed and sold a product called "Oni Kenbu Miso
Rusk" in which we used "Akebono Miso" purchased from Social
Welfare Corporation Iwate Kyoseikai "Akebono" in Kitakami City,
Iwate. Along with our own cookies, we also sold cookies which were purchased
from Social Welfare Corporation Ippo Ippo Fukushikai Sendai Mogura no Ie
in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi. Our clients called out to the customers in
a voice louder than usual, "Please cooperate with the reconstruction
aid." Reconstruction support never ends. These two days helped to
remind us not to forget, to think of this situation as our own, and try
our best to provide continuous support. |
